Located on Triumph Business Park, this warehouse needed an external building yard to allow Tech Folian to fully make use of the available space.
Here at Technic, we were proud to be involved in all stages of the external building yard. Working alongside approved engineers, Hubbard Associates Ltd, we were able to create a stable, durable and level surface to allow Tech Folian to make full use of their external space.
Tech Folian’s External Building Yard Project
With a large floor area of 4,600m2, It was absolutely essential that this external space was not only weather-resistant but durable to damage caused by footfall, vehicles and heavy machinery.
As durability and reliability were key concerns, our steel fixing operatives first laid an A252 mesh reinforcement to protect the underfloor and support the final concrete. The concrete floor slab, if not properly supported, can cause damage to the surface beneath, leading to an uneven surface or the development of potholes, dips and more.
Our specialist team then utilised Technic’s Concrete Pumps to quickly and professional lay the concrete in a uniform manner. Once this concrete was laid, the entire floor slab was panned over by a pedestrian power float. We completed the project by carrying out a brush finish to create a comfortable, durable and stylish surface area.
