SUB-BASE TESTING, Technic Concrete Floors Ltd are able to offer the full range of services ranging from laser levelling of Type 1 material to achieve tight tolerances through to the design of ground bearing and suspended ground floor slabs.
TCF can offer a full service from assisting in the advice of sub-base preparation right through to plate bearing tests prior to concrete pouring.
Utilising the latest techniques in Laser dozer levelling we are able to level areas up to 2,000 m² in a day to a tolerance of + / - 5mm.
In order to achieve the most accurate results possible it is recommended by TCF, that the sub-base to be tested should have been levelled and rolled extensively to eliminate any heaving and rutting prior to any testing.
The building should be as weather tight as possible with the ground dry to prevent misleading results. The Plate Bearing Test is then carried out on the finished sub-base.
Plate Bearing Tests are carried out in accordance with BS 5930.
Offering a wealth of in-house experience in Geotechnical Engineering and methods of ground improvement techniques we are able to offer advice on all forms of slab construction and Design.
STEEL FIXING , Technic Concrete Floors Ltd Steel Fixing Team specialise in the field of reinforcement placement for all Industrial and Commercial floors.
The highly skilled team of fixers have a wealth of experience and regularly carry out contracts satisfying both programme and technical specification in readiness for our concrete division.
All fixers are fully conversant with interpreting working drawings and bar schedules and receive regular ongoing training. Use of Abrasive Wheels, Working at Heights and Harness Awareness are typical of training attendances.
DRY SHAKES, Dry Shake finishes are a very efficient method of producing durable low maintenance concrete floor surfaces.
Natural, coloured or none. Dry shake finishes for power float concrete consist of blended cements and aggregates.
These are mechanically sprinkled on the surface of wet concrete to improve the concrete quality and provide a high degree of abrasive resistance.
ARMOUR JOINTS, Armour Joints are engineered to leave in place permanent formwork for both, ground bearing and suspended floor slabs as well as metal decking.
All joints incorporated the benefit of load transfer through the use of bars or proprietary dowels.
SAW CUTTING, Technic Concrete Floors Ltd undertake all aspects of concrete cutting for Industrial floors.
All our Operatives provide the highest levels of service with the full support expected of a National Contractor. All joints are wet vacuumed and cleaned following saw cut operation.
Our Design Engineers are pleased to provide guidance regarding bay layout and saw cutting grids.
JOINT SEALING, Joint Sealants are used to seal joints and openings between two or more substrates and are a critical component for building design and construction.
The use of Joint Sealant promotes’ protection of the Joint Arris and prevent contamination of the joint.
The Concrete Society Advisory Document TR34 advocates all joints and should be inspected regularly and their ability to protect the Arrises assessed.
